NFWI AM at The Royal Albert Hall

More than 4000 delegates from across England, Wales and the Islands, including three members from High Levels WI, had travelled to London for the NFWI AM at The Royal Albert Hall.

We were all welcomed by Ann Jones DL hosting her final AM as NFWI Chair.

No More Violence Against Women campaign, launched in 2019 remains relevant and urgent as the pandemic of gender-based violence continues. Throughout the day, the issue was examined by the guest speakers: former CPS Prosecutor Nazir Afzal OBE; Spice Girl and domestic abuse survivor Melanie Brown, interviewed byt Victoria Derbyshire; and The Archers actor Timothy Watson, alongside Teresa Parker of Womens Aid in discussion with NFWI Chief Executive Melissa Green. Members were moved - and inspired to keep calling for change.
